Default International Customers

Steen:

Thanks for your response. I understand that some of our international customers may have a tough time writing in English. The best advice I can give is to just do your best. Your entries will be given the same consideration as any other entry, even if your English isn't the best. The main thing we are looking for are talented writers that are excited about the IT industry. We look forward to reading your submission!

Default Footnotes Format

This question pertains to the training essay contest to be submitted July 18th.

The rules state that all entries must be entirely original. Nevertheless, certain concepts ideas, technologies etc.. are proprietary and sources might need footnotes or some kind of recognition.

Is an APA format with footnotes or webliography ok ? I understand keeping essay short, but wonder how sources should be handled or mentioned if we use them.

Default Footnotes Format

Your question concerning the formatting of footnotes is a great question. We are not requiring that your footnotes be in a set format such as APA or any other format. Our only request is that any sources you do use are sited and that you remain consistent in the format you decide to go with.

Well, I've submitted my entry. I'm glad that three winners will be chosen from this contest. I hope the three winners post back here and share their story with us. It would be interesting reading their story and knowing how they will use their prize. Even if I didn't win, it's not bad, at least I will gain knowledge from here!

Just found out that I lost, but Train Signal offered me a free course! Thanks Train Signal.

A list of the winners can be found here:

It looks like R. Louis is the grand prize winner, and he will be writing for Train Signal. Congrats to R. Louis and all the winners!
