Server 2008, just a little whine :-)

My new servers arrives on tuesday and my plan was to install Server 2008 - BUT I guess no.

ISA 2006 wont run on 2008 - great.
Exchange 2007 only runs in the SP1 version - thats great I have that one.

Now I find out that the newest version of McAfee Groupshield, which I planned to use, wont run in 2008. I then go to Esets website hoping their software will, but nope - no luck there. Then I try the last big one I know - Trend Micro - same result.

I think I change my plan and install NT40 instead - I think I have my old floppys somewhere. :D

But I'm surprised that nothing works with 2008 yet. Is there an alternative to Groupshield? I can't run without antivirus on the exchange server. I have my Barracuda recieving and scanning the mails before they are sent to the exchange server but is that enough?

Oh don't give up that easy! Just think of installing 08 as an ...adventure.

I have just installed Server 2008 on a Virtual PC and Exchange 2007 - and I am very happy with it. I can't wait another 3 - 5 years to get it, - the next time the management gives me money to buy new servers :D
