Good day,
My name is Briggs, Deinbo. One of your customers or rather one of the people that are what they are because of you. Honestly i dont know what i can do without Trainsignal as a systems administrator. I appreciate your work, Thanks.

I am currently haveing a problem at one of our clients site. The problem is with microsoft exchange server. We use Exchange server 2003, infact i am sending this mail from the server in question. The problem is that Mials are been delivered to every destination right now except yahoo. The irony of it is that mails to persons using yahoo small business get their mails from this server but mails sent to adressed like mine [xxxxxxxxx]@yahoo.com never get delivered. I Get this warning message from postmaster@smtp1.nddcng.local

"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

[xxxxxxxxx]@yahoo.com"

I searched the internet for a solution and most of the solutions i see were asking me to go against what you told me in your vedio. That i should put in my ISP's dns address in the default smtp virtual server. (Systems manager - smtpvirtual server-delivery-advanced-configure-add).
Our dns points locally and from the vedio is it wrong for me to do that. please is there anything els i can do?
Let me give you a brief scenario of out network. We have a server box (Primary domain controller-PDC) which does AD, DNS and NAT, we have a second server box that acts as a backup(Backup domain controller-BDC), the third box is our Exchange server(Exchange), and the fourth box does smtp Relay,(SMTP1) and has GFI mail security installed for content, virus, spam etc filtering. Smart host is configured correctly as directed in the vedio.
Please i will really appreciate a timely responce.
Regards
Briggs, Deinbo

Hi Briggs-

You are doing nothing wrong, as you are able to send email successfully outside of the local network. The problem lies with either your ISP, Yahoo or both. We also sometimes have problems delivering messages to Yahoo addresses. This has to do with the relationship between your ISP (where the mail is coming from) and Yahoo (or other mail providers). Many times ISPs or the IP addresses at an ISP are flagged as potential spammers. Yahoo and other companies will block email from coming from these ISPs. Yahoo has had a lot of deliverability problems as of late, so I would first just give it time. You may find that the problem just kind of corrects itself. You may also want to contact your ISP and let them know of the problem. They may need to work on their relationship with Yahoo. Good Luck.
