Hello,
I'm just wondering if in the future is going to be some Acronis training, of course the Enterprise Edt. product; I'm trying to learn the product but there are little pieces of information that I can'y find or can't understand. :)

Here is where you can ask if we have a particular course in the works, or make suggestions about what courses we should consider developing. We really do appreciate your input!

Hi there,

I was wondering when will you have "Citrix Presentation Server 4.5" ready to go.

I am very much interested in learning this product to help me with my job.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kelly

We still have high hopes of developing a Citrix course; however our recent efforts to find a quality instructor that lives up to the Train Signal reputation and has high Citrix knowledge has left us empty handed. We still hope to release a Citrix course, but at this time do not have anything scheduled. More information will be available on our website when / if this product becomes available.

Should you need any further training in the future, our products can be viewed at http://www.trainsignal.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=8. Please let us know if you need anything further.

What about SQL server?

Kelly
05-13-2008, 11:16 AM
Thank you for contacting Train Signal, Inc. The SQL Server course has been delayed at this time. We intended to release this course at an earlier date. However, during production, realized that the quality of the course would not be what our customers had come to expect from us, thus resulting in the delay. While we have not yet set a firm release date for the SQL Server course, we do have the best intentions of releasing this course in the future. More information will be available on our website when this product becomes available.

Update! SQL Server 2008 Administration Training has been released!!!

At this time, we have no plans to develop a Systems Management Server 2003 course. We value all of our customers’ input - I will be sure to add it to the list of user requests. Thanks!

Visual Basic Scripting would be an excellent Lab to do. Maybe then I could map a drive without formatting the DC.

I would like to suggest that Train Signal make videos for the 3 new associate-level CCNA Certifications. More details on these new certifications can be found on the topic I made at the below URL:

The new CCNA certifications are on the table for Train Signal training course topics. We will have more details in the future. :)

Hello,

how about linux training? redhat or suse? will you make training video also?

vincent

hi,
first of all i really think the training is up to my expected quality.
but when it comes to the more advanced features. i feel that is has been left out a bit. as it's more focused on the smaller enterprises.

for example : Exchange 2007
- network load balancing
- multiple server configs
- CCR
- unified messaging (phone access)

i wouldn't mind seeing these topics covered in a more advanced Exchange 07 course.

but besides that. it;s a good step to begin with, if you're unfamiliar with the basics.

greets vincent

Vincent,
I am glad you are happy with our training.
We are currently working on two advanced topic videos for Exchange Server. If you sign up for the Train Signal news letter (http://www.trainsignal.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=43)you will be amongst the first to get the details as they come out.

How about a Checkpoint LAB... I don't see any company having anything on Checkpoint... Checkpoint on Nokia/SecurePlatform/Windows... I think you guys should give a thought to this...

Another suggestion would be to concentrate on advanced topics like
1 Knowledge of Information Security to Manager level people,
2 Vulnerability assessment ( not Ethical Hacker or any other hacking videos, but pure Assessment for corporates ),
3 May be something on Advanced Logging and Monitoring,
4 VPN, IPS/IDS, Corporate level security,
5. Advanced Linux Topics
6. Advanced Topics on Exchange,
7. IBM Lotus Notes ( I don't see any company having a CBT on this )
8. Training on Avaya Voice Products ( No CBT on this yet )

You guys are best to decide on what markets/people to tap on... only some suggestions

But i would really love to see Checkpoint LAB from you Guys....

Some very nice suggestions and I agree 110% on Citrix training (understandable you have to find someone to meet your expectations).

I was wondering if any thought was given to Juniper Networks training videos with regards to their routing engines and their security products such as their Firewalls, SSL VPN, NSM, and so on. Would definitely be a nice touch.

Hi David - We don't have any plans in the immediate future to release a CCSP course but it is on our list of possible offerings in the future. Right now, we are concentrating on the Server 2008 line-up. Info about new and upcoming courses can be found on our website so just keep an eye on that for new stuff coming out.

Hi, I'm new to this forum but would like to express an interest in SonicWall product training. Have the good folks at Train Signal considered video training for SonicWall products? The reason I ask is that there isn't much training available for these products and I've seen a lot of businesses now using SonicWall firewalls because they're priced right.

Although SonicWall firewalls are fairly easy to install, there's a lot of installation and operational questions that would be better explained by having someone like Train Signal putting together video training. I'll bet you'd have a lot of takers.

Thanks!

I'd love to see something for Blackberry servers. I was hoping RIM would die off and take its horrible technology with them by this point but it looks like they're gonna be around for a while longer.

So in the meantime, I need to become an expert on this stuff since all my clients are addicted to the damn things and the only way I can see to get them the functionality they want is using Blackberry server apps.

Help guys!

Do you have any plans for a release of this material.

Gary

We are considering it and depending on instructor availability we'd like to produce it later this year. I'll have more details to come over the next couple months.

Also if you ever want to suggest training titles check out the red feedback button on www.trainsignal.com and you have the ability to vote and add any ideas you can think of.

Hi all. I'm new to the forums, but have been a loyal fan of TrainSignal for many years. I still have some of the Server 2000 training videos in fact. Definately the BEST training for IT, period.

Anyway, I just thought I would throw in my thoughts as well on new training. Has anyone considered Symantec Backup Exec? I had never used the software until I got to the company I am with now, and that is what we currently use as our backup solution. Unfortunately, all of the backup jobs were already configured and setup when I arrived, so I just manage them. The program seems fairly in-depth, considering that jobs are based off of policies, templates, etc. I have tried doing some research for good tutorials for Backup Exec, but to no avail.

Anyway, just a thought.
Again, thanks again to you guys for the great products and service that you provide. You are definately a top notch company.

Have a great day

-Dave

We most likely wouldn’t do training course on just CallManager Express itself. I did to a quick look through the objectives for CCNA Voice and CCVP and didn’t see anything about CallManager or CallManager Express. So it looks like it isn’t something we will be covering any time soon. Sorry!

Any news on VMware vSphere 4 training?
On a similar note, any news on VMware VDM/VDI (or the new VMware View) training?

Would love to hear that you are working on providing training for these products.

I'll certainly second the call for a Forefront TMG course - especially since TrainSignal skipped an ISA 2006 course after doing one on ISA 2004.

I think a Forefront TMG course would close a gaping hole in TrainSignal's otherwise impressive portfolio.

Please consider it.

Best,
Xzel

I along with a lot of other loyal trainsignal supporters do a lot of work for the small business which don't require high end Cisco products or High end Juniper solutions, but do require maybe a Sonicwall TZ appliance or Netscreen 5 series. These products can be extremely confusing to configure beyond basic config and would really like to see Trainsignal put together a training course on one or both of these products.
