Hi,

I have been doing my exams and I am almost finished my MSCA, one exam to go. I was planning on doing the Exchange Server 2007 for my last exam, the 70-236, so I purchased your videos. I took a look at MS learning website today and even though they have it listed in the list of possible choices it does not seem to count for your MSCA. I clicked on that exam and in the details it does not say that it can be part of your MSCA, which is a little bizarre to me. Only Exchange server 2003, 70-284, can be used towards your MSCA, again bizarre.

You don't have any training for Exchange Server 2003, which I am assuming was replaced by 2007. I guess this is for the trainers and others who might have done this, would your training videos help me prep for the 70-284? Does anyone know anything else regarding this oddity, MSCA using Exchange server 2003 only and not using 2007?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
I checked on Microsoft's Learning page and do see the 70-236 listed as a certification that will count towards the MCSA. You can find it here (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcsa.aspx#tab2) under the Electives section. Also, we do sell an Exchange 2003 course if you are interested. You can find that here (http://www.trainsignal.com/Exchange-Server-2003-Training-P24.aspx).

Hi,

Yes, I was here also but if you dig deeper, click on the 70-236 exam and you will be taken to another page which explains that 70-236 does NOT go towards your MSCA. That got me too. Maybe I am wrong and I hope I am wrong. If you got to the exam on that same list 70-284, Exchange Server 2003, you will see that in the detail that the exam does go towards your MSCA.

I could not find the Exchange Server 2003 program on the Trainsignal website.

Interesting that it is missing from the 70-236 page. I've sent an email to them and I'll let you know what I hear back.

I posted a link to 2003 above, but here it is as well http://www.trainsignal.com/Exchange-Server-2003-Training-P24.aspx

Hi,

Thanks!

I think I will call too because it really does not make any logical sense and since we are all IT guys logic prevails.

Thanks for the link. I don't mean to sound cheap but I purchased $1500 worth of training for one goal, to help get my MSCA and if I can do it with the Exchange Server 2007 then I will go that route.

I love all these training products and if I could afford it I would buy all their Trainsignal's courses.

Once I finish getting my MSCA I will do my Server 2008 course and then to finish it off with my CCNA. I hope to have it all finished by Christmas and right now I am on course.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey, I don't blame you for wanted to save some $ after spending $1500. But the information you get is great stuff.
