Hi,
I have the System Center Configuration Manager Training here at work. But whenever I try to play them, the page will open but then the browser crashes. I did install the CODEC and my system details are below:
Windows XP Pro SP2 5.1.2600
IE 7.0.5730.13
Firefox 3.0.13
Windows Media Player 11.0.5721.5260
I also downloaded and installed Firefox Windows Media plugin.
Any ideas on why it's doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Have you tried playing the video directly in Windows Media Player? Go into My Computer, right-click on the DVD, and select Explore. Go into the folder Video01 and then into the folder Video01_Media. In there you should see an AVI file titled Video01. Double-click on that. Does it crash?

If you copy the AVI file from the DVD onto your hard drive, does it still crash?

Well, I just tried it on a co-worker's computer and it ran fine. So, it has to be something with my computer. I just cannot figure out what.

Can you install a Virtual PC on your computer or is this a work machine? If you created an XP Virtual you could run it in a clean environment, assuming you have the appropriate licences to do this. If this is a home PC or laptop is may be a good time to wipe it and do a clean install.
Just a thought, when you played the AVI file, what app is it running under? Are there any entries in the Event Viewer that may point to a reason why this is happening.
Download Malwarebytes and run it on your machine to see if you have any nasties that could be causing you problems.

Ok, got it to work. lol In another thread in this forum, it was suggested you turn down the Hardware Acceleration on the Troubleshoot tab in the Display control panel. I had turned it down a couple of notches previously, but I had turn it off completely and disable 'Enable write combining' to get it to work.
Thank you everyone for your help. :)
