Hello "Student":

I am so glad the class is helping you. As you well know there are hundreds of SQL Server 2008 books on the market. Each one targets a different audience and different needs. Also google.com is your friend when needing answers to SQL Server 2008 questions. Microsoft's msdn.microsoft.com is one of the best sources for information on SQL Server 2008, but I find that the examples often need further explanation. If I were going to only pick one book it would likely be one of the Microsoft Press Training Kit books. There is one for the MCTS SQL Server 2008 Administrator (http://www.amazon.com/MCTS-Self-Paced-Training-70-432-PRO-Certification/dp/0735626057) and one for the MCTS SQL Server 2008 Developer (http://www.amazon.com/MCTS-Self-Paced-Training-Exam-70-433/dp/0735626391/ref=pd_sim_b_1) as well as many others.
