Tried to install a shared printer on Windows Server 2008 and now I can't uninstall it - and it shows up on the System Log as an error - Terminal Services Printers is the source- help!

You might need to un-share the printer first. Have you tried rebooting the computer?

I did find how I can stop the message in the logfile - but printer still shows as installed.

no problem the other day - one of those things.
So does that mean you got it figured out?

Stop all the running print services and make them to start manually. Then restart your server and try to remove the printer. Before removing, unshare this printer if it is shared.
Note: If you add print services role, first remove the role and then try to uninstall the printer.
