MS Virtualization and VMWare overlap?

Will the concepts from the Microsoft Virtualization training give me any clue to how to use VMWare?

The Virtualization course does not deal with VMWare / Workstation. MS Virtualization and VMWare are based on the same concept; however they are completely different when it comes to installation, management, configuration and administration.
