DNS resolution question

I am following the TS exchange 2007 DVD.
On my Server 2003 R2 I have installed DNS from the add remove programs. I have not ran DC promo yet.
I have set my network card as follows
192.168.2.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.2.1

Preferred DNS Server 192.168.2.2
The train signal instuctor says we can check that the DNS server is pionting to its self by pinging www.trainsignal.com
I get not reply when I ping trainsiganl or any other website.
I can go online and see webpages with the server and I can ping the router and my other computer.
can nayone please help?

Hi Tony,
Not all websites are set up to allow ping. Maybe at the time the video was made it was possible.
I just pinged www.trainsignal.com and I couldn't but I could ping www.google.com

Try the google website, if it works then that part of your set up should be OK, if it doesn't then it can be something else.
