Regarding ESX 3.5 and Virtual Center 2.5,
Lets say you have a Windows 2003 server VM which has a an application installed which is a flex license server it uses the MAC address for license identification.
For disaster recovery the machine is cloned (MAC addresses changes) on the clone. since the MAC address has changed the license for the application does not match (application does not work)
Is it an issue to manually change the MAC address thru the text file to match the original machine as long as they are both VM's are not on at the same time?
