Hi all,

I found this site via google which led me to a similar problem already posted, however rather than takeover that thread Im posting this seperatly.

The problem im having is i want to setup the external URL for OWA. I wouldnt class myself as a expert so any advice nomatter how basic would be very welcome.

Our basic configuration is as follows.

We have 2 Exchange servers running Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2007. One supporting the mailbox/client access/hub transport roles, and the other server supporting the edge transport role.

Our website is hosted by an external company and therefore we make no use of web servers other than having the role installed on the mail server to allow Exchange to install. Our email is configured in our ISP DNS to point messages to mail.externaldomain.com which is our edge transport server. This in turn delivers the email to the hub transport via edgesync and onto the users.

What steps do i need to take to allow users from outside to access OWA? As nothing in the "real world" points to our mail server, and as i understand the process it dosent come in via the edge transport (which is our only public facing) server.

Many thanks indeed.

Carl
