To view step-by-step instructions for creating Global Address Lists please view Video 11 of our Exchange training lab – Groups and Address lists. This will allow all users to see the addresses and use them when creating e-mails. If you need your users to add addresses without administrative rights you can create public folders which are explained in Video 8 – Information Store Management.
If you already have a contact folder and you want to share it with another person, you will need to give them permission to the folder.
Here are steps on how to do that:
1. Right-click on your Mailbox and select Properties.
2. Click on the Permissions tab.
3. Click on the Add button and add the person you want to give permission to.
4. Under Permission Level select Owner.
5. Click Apply and OK.
6. Right-click on the Contact folder and select Properties.
7. Click on the Permissions tab.
8. Click on the Add button and add the person you want to give permission to.
9. Under Permission Level select the correct permission and click Apply, and OK.
10. In order to open contacts on the other person’s computer, go to File,
11. Select Open.
12. Select Other user’s folder.
13. Type in your name and select Folder type as Contacts.
14. Hit OK.
