I have purchased the Exchange 2003 video series and created the lab according to instructions. I only have one issue I have been unable to resolve. I’m currently in Video 6 working with OWA. Everything has gone according to the instruction except that I can’t access OWA internally on the private network. From the outside OWA is accessible as indicated in the Video. When accessing OWA inside the network, I have to connect using Exchange1 or the local domain name (in my case I’ve used exchange1.region24.local). When I attempt to connect with XP1 to owamail.region24.com/exchange, it gives a page cannot be displayed. On the other hand, if I use exchange1/exchange or exchange1.region24.local/exchange it works just fine. Any suggestions on what could be the issue? Thanks.

Your OWA is setup correctly. There is a difference of how the OWA works internally from outside. In order for you to use the OWA internally you have to use the exchange server name, which is exchange1. That's why the exchange1/exchange and exchange1.region24.local/exchange work for you. You can use "owamail" only from outside your network.
