Hi,

I have setup a IAS server just for Wireless Authentication and everything seems to be working perfectly. I seem to have discovered one flaw or I do not know or can find out how to correct the issue, can someone help?

IAS is commonly used for wireless networks so I do not understand why it would allow multiple logins from the same profile. I would have expected that it would have login uniqueness and it would only allow one connection per user.

Is there a setting that I have missed or is there a download that I could not find by Googling my issue? Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike

I have never run across this before but my guy reaction would be that IAS is only authenticating a username/password, it has no idea if a user is logged in or out and, thus, cannot control the # of logins per user. My feeling is that this would be a wireless device setting or that you would have to use a more full featured authentication server (like Cisco's ACS) that also provides authorization & accounting and may have a feature like this.

Still, just my initial reaction. I will also one of my associates to read your post and respond.

Thanks!
