I am attempting to set up a NAT server and my second NIC is not being recognized by my OS.

I have reseated the new NIC to another slot, it does have a good fit but it does not now have any LEDs ( did in the old slot?) the old NIC does now have LEDs.
I do believe that they are both properly seated.
I am in the BIOS and do not see "system config" ( I think I remember needing to have to config the BIOS for a second NIC but not sure where)

FYI: the NAT server I am setting up is a Dell Dimension 4300 with Windows Server 2003. The NIC's are the orginal (I think 3COM) and the new one that isn't recognized is a D-Link (new).

I haven't tried the new card in place of the old card yet, but I have moved the new from one open slot to another slot. I did go in to the BIOS and put both cards on IRQ 10, that seemed to give the LED on both cards. The old card was seen before installing the new card, so the drivers should be there and plug and play should pick it up.

Can anyone help with a possible solution? Thanks.

The Dell Dimension PC doesn't show on the Windows Hardware Qualifier List because it's not a good platform for Windows 2003 server. It would be better if you installed XP and then ran VMWare Server on it and installed Windows 2003 server on that. I would just use an old broadband router to handle NAT because your PC is having hardware compatibility issues.
