I'm curious as to what happened to the lab books in your training videos.
I remember back when I ordered Exchange Server 2003 training about how important the accompanying lab book was in teaching me how to use Exchange Server. While the videos were great, it was following along in the lab book that truly brought everything together.
I recently ordered and received Exchange Server 2007 and was looking forward to both listening to the video and then completing the lab from the lab book when I discovered that there was no lab book included with the training CD.
Can this lab book be obtained elsewhere as it is with your Cisco training material? I ordered the CCNP training package and then went to the instructor's web site to also order the CCNP lab manuals.
What truly set you apart from the other guys were the lab manuals. I hope they haven't gone away for good.

Here has been my experience thus far from a first time Triansignal buyer. I know more than the average person when it comes to VMware products especially VMware ESX. No expert, but I wanted relatively inexpensive training material to fill in any gaps or assumptions I had. David Davis does a wonderful job presenting the material and so far he has meet my expectations as an instructor. With that said the lab time/experience is lacking severely.
As an example:
During CD1/4 (ESX Inside Workstation) David introduces us to VMware ESX Server, how to create the VM, and configure the VMX file. However, the ESX Server we made is "Test ESX Server" with a 100GB datastore and the VM name is not ESX1.
Moving into CD1/5 (Configuring VMware ESX) David does all the demonstrations on ESX1.wiredbraincoffee.com. Thinking we wouldn't be using the "Test ESX Server" I paused the video, deleted this VM, and created a new one per the specs of ESX1. Now, I noticed he had a very small datastore of only 2.25GB and I found this odd, because later I knew we would be adding VMs to the datastore/lun.
Then in the next section CD1/6 (Virtual Center Install) we setup Virtual Center and start adding our VMware ESX servers and whad'ya know his ESX1.wiredbraincoffee.com ESX Server datastore is back to 92.25GB or roughly 100GB.
Now to my point:
Between theses three sections not once did he have us pause the video, reference a lab book or PDF guide and install ESX (with a proper sized datastore) step by step and continue to the next video. Not to mention we didn't stop to configure or at least tell us we need to build four other ESX servers he references and uses during his videos.
I've only noted one instance of inconsistent training material presented to the end-user. By all means I am not complaining or asking for a refund, but the structure and flow of the material certainly needs some help.
Thank you for your comments. We are always striving to provide the best materials available. Whenever possible we like to include a lab book to supplement the video training. Sometimes it isn't feasible for us to do so, but it is something that we carefully consider for each video. It is good to hear from you how valuable the lab books are because we will definitely make this more of a consideration for future courses. We value your input and we welcome more input from all of our customers so that we can continue to put out the best video training courses available.
Thanks,
Zach
